situations to be a trouble shooter and a leader.

Titus the Roman general, who commanded the destruction of Jerusalem and the Holy Temple in 70n A.D.  rose to greater prominence as the Emperor of the entire Roman Empire. His rule in Israel and Rome had great impact on the way Judaism was practiced going forward.
